I’m running an experiment here at Change is Hard by offering some paid content. In consultation with a variety of voices in orgs and leadership about gaps in leadership training, I decided to pull together some content that I hope will be helpful especially for midlevel leaders.
I’ve taken a look around at some of the popular online training programs, and I’m convinced that my approach is different.
(That doesn’t mean it’s better, necessarily! You can judge for yourself.)
But it might be something that works for you and people in your world, and if so, I’d love to invite you to experience it.
As I roll this out, I’m keeping things simple and requesting that readers access the paid resources through Substack. That might change in the future, but for now, this platform is the easiest mechanism for me to share this content with you.
And I’d like to give you a preview of what it means and how it looks so that you can decide for yourself if it’s something that can work for you, and if it does, please pass it on to someone else who could benefit. I’ve designed this initial lesson so that you can engage by just watching, just listening, or both!
I’ve posted the video below, along with the transcript and slides. If you like what you see and have an interest in learning more, just use that “subscribe” link below the video and you’ll receive all of the paid content as it rolls out: $10/month will give you the complete training series over the next two months. Feel free to opt out after that, or stay on for additional fee-based adventures.
(I’ll mix in some spice-based posts with the courses for paid subscribers over time, too: I’ve been looking for a way to discuss more concrete examples and lessons in leadership but also limit the audience; paid content will help me deploy these Very Significant learning opportunities in a controlled environment.)
Subscribing as an annual member also includes a 60-minute coaching session between now and June 30 ($100) and subscribing as a “founder” includes three 60-minute coaching sessions good for any time in 2025.
⚡SPECIAL NOTE: If you are someone who is personally known to me — that is, if you can pick up your phone and reach me via text — this payment situation is not for you. Reach out to me via that text message and tell me you want the stuff, and you’ll get it! You’ve already paid enough!
