I’ve been thinking of social distancing a lot lately and what a missed opportunity the pandemic presented in just that one area going forward: keep everyone physically safe, in a better mental state; lower enrollment caps to allow for social distancing *and* for better relationship-building in the classroom…. I practically sent my dean a treatise on all of this yesterday! Instead, back we all go, packed into classrooms that felt too small back in the Before Times.
It really boils down to this: will we learn from history lest it repeat, or do we blindly go forward without embracing change?
